Discipleship must eventually move from learning to living. The truths we receive from God's Word are not meant to remain only in our notes, conversations, or church gatherings. They are meant to shape how we live, how we love people, and how we respond to the Great Commission.

The first three Kingdom Absolutes provide a strong foundation for evangelism. Absolute #1 teaches that we must be born again. Jesus told Nicodemus, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3, KJV). Evangelism begins with a personal encounter with Christ. Before we tell someone else what Jesus can do, we should remember what He has already done in us. Every believer has a testimony, and that testimony can become a bridge that points someone toward Jesus.

Absolute #2 teaches that the Holy Spirit is a must. Jesus did not send His disciples into the world in their own strength. He promised, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me” (Acts 1:8, KJV). Effective witnessing is not based only on personality, education, or confidence. The Holy Spirit prepares hearts, creates opportunities, gives wisdom, and empowers believers to speak with boldness and compassion.

Absolute #3 teaches the difference between faith and formalities. Faith is the corresponding action to what God has said. It is possible to pray for opportunities while repeatedly avoiding the people God places before us. James reminds us that faith without works is dead (James 2:17). Genuine faith moves. It sends the text message, makes the telephone call, begins the conversation, shares the testimony, and extends the invitation.

Prepare to Reach One

The first step is not trying to reach everyone at once. Begin by asking the Holy Spirit to place one person on your heart. Pray for that person by name. Ask God to reveal their needs and prepare their heart. Then take an intentional step toward them. Contact them, ask how they are doing, and listen sincerely.

People should never be treated as evangelistic projects. They are people created in the image of God and deeply loved by Him. Demonstrating compassion, offering prayer, meeting a practical need, or simply listening may open the door for a deeper conversation about Christ.

Share the Gospel Clearly

The Gospel does not need to be made complicated. Humanity has sinned and is separated from God. Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. Salvation is received through repentance and faith in Him. Our responsibility is to communicate this truth clearly, lovingly, and without manipulation.

Your testimony can help make the Gospel personal. Explain what your life was like before Christ, how you came to trust Him, and what has changed since following Him. Keep Jesus at the center. A testimony is not about glorifying our past; it is about revealing the grace and transforming power of God.

Extend the Invitation

Many people never enter a church, Bible study, or accountability group simply because no one personally invites them. An invitation can become someone's first step toward community, truth, healing, and ongoing discipleship. Explain what the ROOTED Accountability Group is, why it has helped you, and what your guest can expect. Offer to meet them, sit with them, and introduce them to others.

Remember that you are not responsible for saving anyone. Paul wrote, “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase” (1 Corinthians 3:6, KJV). Our assignment is faithfulness. We pray, love, speak, invite, and follow up. God is responsible for changing the heart.

This Week's Challenge

Choose one person. Pray for them daily. Prepare and practice your testimony. Reach out with genuine concern. Share the Gospel when the opportunity comes. Personally invite them to the ROOTED Accountability Group, and continue following up whether they accept immediately or not.

Disciples do not merely follow Jesus for themselves. They help others follow Him. Let this be the week that your faith moves from intention into action.

Prayer: Father, thank You for saving me through Jesus Christ, filling me with the Holy Spirit, and teaching me to live by faith. Give me compassion for people, boldness to speak, wisdom to listen, and courage to obey. Place one person on my heart and use me to point them toward Jesus. Make me a disciple who makes disciples.
